Yonkers Real Estate Update: More Choices, Strong Demand

Yonkers doesn’t get enough credit for how much range it actually has. It’s Westchester’s biggest city, and the housing stock proves it: riverfront condos, classic single-families, everything in between. Buyers have more to pick from than they did a year ago. Right now there are 98 single-family homes on the market, plus 137 co-ops and 22 condos, with prices running from co-ops in the $90,000s up to single-families pushing $2 million.

Here’s what matters if you’re selling: even with all that extra inventory, 58 homes sold in Yonkers in the last 30 days, and 64% of them closed at or above asking. More options for buyers hasn’t slowed real demand down one bit. It just means your pricing has to be right from day one. Homes priced honestly and shown well are still moving fast, and a lot of them are getting multiple offers.

If you’re on the fence about listing in Yonkers this fall, I’d rather tell you the truth than sell you a pitch. Reach out and we’ll figure out where your home fits into all this.
