Even as August heads into its slower final stretch, Westchester’s market is still moving. In the past 24 hours alone, 25 new homes hit the market, ranging from a $145,000 co-op up to a $3,000,000 single-family home. Four coming soon listings are also on the way in Eastchester, Mamaroneck, Rye, and Peekskill.
Price changes are part of the picture too. Eleven properties saw price reductions in the last 24 hours, including a notable cut of almost 15% on a house on Fenimore Drive in Harrison. Adjustments like that show where sellers are recalibrating as summer winds down.
The next two weeks of August tend to be quiet, with families at camp and people away on vacation. But sellers who prepare their home properly and price it strategically are still landing excellent sale prices, even in a seasonal slowdown.
